President for LIFE ??

Earlier this month Rep. Jose Serrano introduced bill H.J. Res 5. Why is it important ?? This bill would repeal the 22nd Amendment which prohibits the President from being elected to more than two terms in office. In the past, this measure has been attempted by Rep. Serrano, but to no resolution. This time it is different because of the "hype" behind President Obama.

Rep. Serrano is a leftist politician who has praised fidel castro in the past. This kind of measure is not unexpected from a person who sympathizes with communist governments. Here is an excerpt from a statement Rep. Serrano issued when catsro handed over power to his brother:

"Today’s news that Fidel Castro has retired from leading his nation proves yet again that this important figure defies the attempts of his critics to paint him simply as a power-hungry authoritarian. Instead, it proves that Castro sees clearly the long-term interests of the Cuban people and recognizes that they are best served by a carefully planned transition. It is time to recognize that Castro was a great leader for his people."
